This and Next Week's Journal Exercise
In your journal:
Write down a bad habit you'd like to change. Next, list some possible positive habits that could replace it. For example, instead of a cigarette, or saying angry words - take a walk. Finally, write down how you can practice some of these new positive habits each day this week.

In your journal:
Make a list of some of you close friends, family members, and coworkers. Then, next to each, write down something that you would like to ask of each one. What do you need from each that you could ask for? In what ways could you phrase your request so that the other person would feel more willing or less defensive?

Last Week's and This Week's Journal Exercise
In your journal:
Think back over the day or week. Write down a decision you made based on another person's actions. (Since he/she did that, I'm going to do….) Next to this decision write down why you based this decision on another person's actions. What would you have done otherwise? What effect did basing your decision on another person's actions have?

In your journal:
Think of the things you say to your coworkers, family, and friends. What kind of impression are you trying to make on each? How do you hope each will see you? Why? How do your words portray how you want each to see you?

This Week's Journal Exercise
In your journal:
Make of list of the standards and expectations you tend to have for your friends, coworkers, boss, kids, or significant other. Next go through and write next to each one listed how well you live up to that standard or expectation. What standards or expectations might be somewhat unrealistic for yourself and / or others? Where do you excel? How hard did you have to work at it to excel in this area? Where did you get your ability? How can you help others or be understanding of others in this area? Where might you focus some energy to better meet your own standards and expectations? © www.AboutCreativeJournals.com
