This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:

If you could get just 1 thing done this week, what would it be?  What if you could get just 1 thing done this year?  This lifetime?

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:

What are some of the best ways you connect and build strong relationships with others?  Think of some of your strong relationships.  What strengthened the relationship?  What brought you together?  How did you connect and deepen the relationship?  What built trust and respect for each other?

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:

Write down 2 or more parts of yourself or your life that don't seem to fit or even conflict or oppose each other.  Try to find some way these 2 clashing parts could actually work together or benefit each other.

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:

Think of something you were thrown into unexpectedly in the past.  What was your reaction?  What were your expectations?  What was the result?  Now, think of a time that something you didn't plan for happened and you expected the worst but were pleasantly surprised.  This week, if you are thrown into something unexpectedly, try to reserve judgment - even better expect a positive outcome in the end.

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:

Write down something that you currently want and are in a rush to get.  List the ways your rush is causing you to be less selective.  In what ways might you be trying to convince yourself that something that falls short of what you really want is good enough?  In what ways does what you'll end up with if you rush fall short of what you really want?  Make a list of what you really want.  This list should represent your ideal.  What items on your list are unrealistic or too selective?  What items on your list have a little room for give?  What items on your list are absolutely necessary and at the core of what you want?
