This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
Think back over the last few arguments or disagreements you've had over the last day or two.  For each one, write down whether or not you felt able to agree to disagree.  Could you accept that the other person may have a different point of view or feelings about the subject?  Could you allow them to feel that way, or did you feel the need to continue the disagreement until the person agreed with your point of view?  Do you think that this may have been the way the other person felt as well? What might have happened if you had simply accepted the person's different take on things and the two of you agreed to disagree?  Look for opportunities to agree to disagree over the next few days.  How well are you able to do this?  Do you still feel the need to convince, or are you able to let the other person have their point of view?  What do you say to yourself that increases your need to push your point of view?  What can you say to yourself to increase your ability to accept the other person's ability to think and feel differently from you?

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
If you could accomplish only three things this week, list what they would be?  What about this year?  This lifetime?  What can you do each day to make sure you accomplish these three things?  When will you do it?  Schedule a time.

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
Create a priority list for your life.  Think of all the different areas of your life that you strive daily to maintain or work on.  If you could accomplish just one thing, what would you focus your energy on?  List the areas of your life in order of their importance.  What would you make sure to get done first, second, third and so on?
