Last and This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
Write down something you want or have to do that you feel unprepared for.  Make a list of the ways you can practice and prepare (physically and mentally) so that you will feel ready.  Then make a list of those who have done something similar and can help give you suggestions on how to practice and prepare. © www.AboutCreativeJournals.com

In your journal:
Write down your account of something you and your family or friends experienced in the last few days or months.  Then try to write down how each of your friends or family members experienced the event or happening.  How do think each one might have viewed things a bit differently?  What personality traits or life experiences may have contributed to this?  What traits and life experiences contributed to your own perspective?  © www.AboutCreativeJournals.com

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
Think of some of the conversations you had today or this week.  What if you had written a letter to the person instead?  How would the content or tone of what you said change?  In what ways would you say the same things but perhaps more efficiently?  What would you add to or leave out in a letter?  Why?

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
Think of the times today or this week when you said something you wish you hadn't.  Write down what you wish you had said instead.  Choose a day and give an extra pause to review what you plan to say.  Record in your journal the ways you decided to rephrase or change what you were about to say during this pause.
