This Week's Journal Exercise
In your journal:
Write down some of the expectations people have for you. In what ways do these expectations mean you need to reject some part of yourself or be something you're really not? How will this make you feel about yourself and the relationship in the long run? Next consider the expectations you have for the people in your life? How might some of your expectations cause someone to reject some part of themselves or be something they're not?
