This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
What, if anything, have you done this week, this month or today that you may regret in the future?  What actions have you taken that might have negative consequences?  Think back over the last few days or weeks.  Try and pinpoint some things that you have done that in the future you might wish you hadn't or perhaps are even wishing now that you hadn't.  What are the negative consequences?  Try to visualize these consequences.  How can you prevent yourself from doing these things again?

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
What does it mean to forgive?  Think of something you have done that you wish someone would forgive you for?  What are you hoping it will mean when they forgive you?  How do you hope this person will think, act, and feel towards you after they have forgiven you?  Think of someone you have forgiven.  What does this mean about how you think, act and feel toward this person?  How similar is the way you forgive others to the way you hope to be forgiven?  © www.AboutCreativeJournals.com

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
What are some assumptions you've made about a person you don't know well?  What have you assumed to be true about this person without seeing any proof?  What are these assumptions based on?  What are five pieces of evidence to the contrary?  Try to come up with at least 5 things you've seen or heard that show you your assumptions may be wrong.  What has this person most likely assumed about you? © www.AboutCreativeJournals.com

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
Write about a time you were misjudged - a time when someone didn't give you the benefit of the doubt when you needed it.   Now apply this to someone you've judged recently.  Who might you be able to give the benefit of the doubt?

This Week's Journal Exercise

In your journal:
Today or this week, notice the next time you find yourself complaining about someone.  Write down how you would explain the problem you're having.  Then, write down how you feel this person would most likely tell their side of the story.   Picture both arguments being told before a third party you both respect and get along with.  What might this third party say? © www.AboutCreativeJournals.com
