Last Week's and This Week's Journal Exercise
In your journal:
Create a list of the things it's important not to skimp on. In what areas is it important not to go for the bargain or the least you can possibly get away with? For what things should you go all out or pay for the best quality? How have you learned it's important not to skimp in these areas? © www.AboutCreativeJournals.com
In your journal:
How important is it to you that you appear capable? During the week, take note of any times that you refuse help, don't ask a question, or even fake knowing something in order to give the impression you know exactly what you're doing. Write down why you felt you had to pretend you didn't need additional help. What do you feel would be the result of admitting you weren't sure about something? In what ways might asking for help have been beneficial (for example: time saved)? In what ways did the environment or person you were dealing with make you feel there were consequences for not appearing completely capable (for example: dealing with a competitive coworker)? What were these consequences?
